Linda Humphrey
Estate Administration Coordinator
For over 33 years, Linda worked in the Forrest County Chancery Court system, which included positions such as Deputy Court Clerk, Court Administrator, and Court Reporter for numerous chancellors and clerks. Now on our team, Linda brings her years of experience and knowledge to our law firm. Chancery Court is a court that is authorized to apply principles of equity as opposed to law, to cases brought before the court. Mississippi, Delaware, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Tennessee are the only states left in the United States with Chancery Courts. Probate and Estate Administration matters are handled in Chancery Court. As our Estate Administration Coordinator, Linda’s years of experience in Chancery Court are invaluable.
She also answers the telephone and assists with criminal intake and trial preparation for our state and federal criminal cases. Often the first point of contact for our clients, Linda is always helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable.
Married for more than 32 years, Linda and Jimmy Humphrey have four children and eight grandchildren. In her spare time, she is either gathering fresh eggs from their chickens, or fresh vegetables from their garden. After retiring from Camp Shelby, Jimmy started beekeeping. Everyone in the office loves his fresh honey. Linda also enjoys spending time with her family and with her church family at Dixie United Methodist Church. On weekends, you may find her looking for bargains at rummage sales, auctions, or estate sales around town.
